In week 3 I added quite a few changes to my shot, most of them very successful I think. The first shot in the assignment is starting to look a lot better. There is still some work to be done with the body mechanics, but hopefully I’ll have that sorted out soon so that I can start working on something else.
Here is what I delivered last week:
As you can see there is some big changes to the first shot. As per my mentor critique what I need to work on this week is:
Polishing up the body mechanics. There are still a few places where the body doesn’t feel quite conected, especially when it comes to some of the arm movements. The walk in the beginning is a bit stiff and needs some more work on the spine etc. This also applies to the part where the devil character leans agains the wall.
Most of the facial poses also need some work. As of right now most of them are way to symmetrical and I need to break things up a little in the brows and eye lids respetively. This also need do be done to the mouth. Make things less symmetrical, god damnit!
Those two are the most important things to work on this week. When that is done I’ll take a look at the hands, and add a bit more interest in the fingers. It’s need some more overlap, and there is some twinning going on that needs to go away.
